USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT PARATHYROID, THYROID CANCER AND ADRENAL DISEASES

PROFESSOR IN SURGERY, BREAST AND ENDOCRINE SURGERY UNIT

After graduating from the University of Ankara’s Faculty of Medicine in 1988, I worked two years in Erzincan City before beginning my specialization in the general surgical clinic at 9 Eylul University (Izmir, Turkiye) in 1990. Since then, I’ve been working at the same University on an ongoing basis, and from 1996 to the present, I’ve worked in Breast and Endocrine Surgery Unit. Additionally, I have been working in my private office and a private hospital after 16.00 since 2010. In these locations, so far I’ve performed 20,000 procedures.

In 2006, I received a Fulbright scholarship to the United States, and from 2007 to 2008, I worked in Prof. Dr. Jose Russo’s lab doing breast  cancer research. I attended the European Breast Academy at the Duesseldorf Breast Centre in 2013. I finished the Breast Cancer Surgery Fellowship program at Dr. Mahdi Rezai’s clinic in 2015.

On national and international platforms, my clinical and scientific work in Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgery, Thyroid Cancer Surgery, Parathyroid and Adrenal Gland Surgery are still ongoing. I published a textbook about breast cancer both as an editor and  author in 2021.
