THOSE AT RISK OF BREAST CANCER AND BREAST CANCER PREVENTION METHODS

Breast cancer affects one out of every ten women today;

The risk of cancer is moderate (1.5-4 times) in the presence of the following conditions:

  • Breast cancer in first-degree relatives (mother, sister)
  • Subjection to excessive estrogen (menarce before the age of 12 and menopause after the age of 55)
  • Late pregnancy (beyond the age of 30-35). (IMPORTANT NOTE: If a woman becomes fully pregnant before the age of 24, she is less likely to develop breast cancer.)
  • Obesity (particularly in postmenopausal women). At this time, the Western diet most likely plays a role in fast foods. I believe that females are considerably less likely to develop breast cancer if they avoid gaining weight by eating vegetables and healthful meals and exercising regularly beginning in youth.
  • Living in opposition to the light rhythm (working at night and resting during the day, sleeping in the light at night, etc.)
  • inactivity, alcohol, and contraception
  • Endocrine disruptors: numerous plastics, agricultural medications, insecticides, cosmetics, petroleum products, etc.

The risk of cancer is considerably enhanced (approximately 50-60% throughout life) in the presence of the following conditions:

  • Two or more people in the same family have breast cancer;
  • One person in the same family has breast cancer at an early age or both breast cancers are present; • A young woman with breast cancer and a younger brother with prostate cancer in one family;
  • Other sisters and daughters in a young woman who have both breast and ovarian cancer; Ashkenazi (Ashkenazi) families;

Prophylactic mastectomy is the most effective form of protection in these high-risk conditions (I recommend consulting your breast surgeon before making this decision).
